Mauricio Fregoso Owner, Salon Manager, Educator
Mauricio Fregoso stands for artistry, precision and excellence in the hair design world. These elements have made Mauricio Fregoso one of the most talented hair stylists in Tucson, Arizona.
Mauricio Fregoso mastered his career at the renowned Mario Triccoci Salon, who also owns the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas world wide, one of Chicago’s most distinguished salons located in the Gold Coast of downtown Chicago. Mauricio has been trained in modern trends and styles by master stylists from New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Chicago. He has been the recipient of many awards, including the Vidal Sassoon Excellence in New Design Award, which he was chosen two different years from hundreds of stylist’s nation wide. Mauricio’s designs have been seen in numerous magazines, including Vogue, Elle, American Salon, Teen Magazine, and Salon News.
Mauricio has taken his experiences and created his own cutting techniques. He knows all aspects of hair, but specializes in precision wet and dry cutting and texturizing techniques. The stylists that work at MFS are educated by him and in his specialized techniques. Clients feel a huge difference in their hair and the way that his style of cutting grows out. He has clients that visit him from all over the country to experience his cuts and color, including models and photographers.
Norma Kraus Fregoso Owner, General Manager
Norma Kraus Fregoso received a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College in Chicago. She worked for 15 years in the Motion Picture Industry as a Location Manager, Production Coordinator, Wardrobe Stylist, and Makeup Artist. She has worked on Hollywood features, such as “Three Kings”, “With Honors”, and “The Postman”, just to name a few, as well as dozens of television movies, independent and foreign feature films, hundreds of commercials, and photo shoots for many national magazines. She is also a licensed Aesthetician where she worked at Canyon Ranch as a Facialist, Makeup Artist, and Skin Care Expert. Currently Norma is the General Manager and runs the day to day operations of the salon while also taking care of MFS’ newest member, Mauricio’s and Norma’s baby toddler, Violetta.
